High school graduation is right around the corner. And
to encourage students to make the safe, smart decision to attend Project
Graduation, FLF&M
is once again holding our "Responsible Choice Awards” program.
We believe it is important to focus on young people who make good decisions
instead of on those who make unfortunate ones. And we believe the key
to maximizing smart, responsible behavior is to reward it. That is
why we created the Responsible Choice Awards Program in 2002.
Partner
Hal Lewis was a member of the 1984 Leon High School graduating class
and attended the first Project Graduation, which was spearheaded by
two Leon High mothers, Pep Culpepper and Ley Prichard. Since then,
Project Graduation has grown to a statewide event. Eight high schools
in Leon
County put on Project Graduations, providing young people in our area
a safe, substance-free environment to celebrate this momentous time in
their lives. For the third year in a row, FLF&M is pleased to encourage
young people in our community to make the responsible choice to attend
Project Graduation and stay safe on graduation night. A total of $4,500
will be awarded to 45 students from nine area high schools who make the
smart choice to attend their respective Project Graduation celebrations.
Any student from the eight Leon County participating schools, or Wakulla
High School, who stays all night at Project Graduation will be eligible
for a drawing to win a $100 Responsible Choice Award.

So, if you know any young
adults preparing for high school graduation, encourage them to make
the responsible decision to attend Project Graduation. Not only will
they have a safe, fun experience, they could walk away with $100!
